Riders start out at the Bowen Roundhouse and at the start time will head south on Pipeline Road.  You are then going to take a hard right, then left then another right to start up Trench Town to Rockshock, then a right on Mad Cow and bomb down towards the Roundhouse.  As you enter the camping area near the Roundhouse, you will take a left up to Spotted Cow.  Follow Spotted cow all the way up to Newman, once you clear Newman you will jump on Northern Pass to make the climb over the mountain on the north end.  After negotiating the technical section down Northern Pass you will find the aide station (drop bag area) grab some refills and keep on going on Upper Foothills.  You will stay on Upper Foothills until shortcut 1 where you will take a right down to Lower Sunset.  Follow Lower Sunset until about halfway up the old jeep road and you’ll find the entrance to the the Beginners Loop Trail on the right.  Follow that trail until you hit the old jeep road and there you will come out the the next aide station (drop bags), take a quick break if needed and get going up the road towards Mundy’s gap parking lot.
At the end of the parking lot you will find the trail, take the right on Agave Loop.  Work your way up Agave Loop to the top where it connects right into Mundy’s Gap West, start climbing, trust me the downhill on the other side will be amazing. Once you clear the saddle at the top of Mundy’s Gap, you’ll start the fast descent down Mundy’s Gap East, watch out of the loose corners.  At the bottom of Mundy’s Gap East you’ll continue straight onto Scenic Road (wonder when the last time a jeep was up there).  When you start the fast downhill on Scenic Road watch out there will be a hard left to Sotol Forest. After enjoying the views on Sotol Forest, you’ll turn right onto Boulder Dash and head towards the Roundhouse, but right when you see the campers, you going to take a hard right onto Antler Run.  Climb up Antler run for a couple of miles, then take a left and hit the amazing Mad Cow trail down to the Roundhouse for the faster than fast finish.
